Grounds & Garden Care

Mowing, edging, pruning and garden care, held to an estate standard all season.

Care is where properties are won or lost. Mowing, edging, mulching, pruning and bed care look routine until they are done wrong, and a season of wrong shows for years. Our crews work to a horticulturist’s standard: cuts where the plant wants them, mulch where the soil needs it.

Care runs on a schedule, not on callbacks. Through the growing season the same crew returns to the same property, so nothing drifts and nothing is a stranger’s guess.

Questions, answered.

What owners ask about grounds & garden care before the first walk of the property.

How often do you come?

We build the schedule around the property: most grounds run weekly in season, and gardens run on the rhythm their plantings need. It is set at the consultation and kept proactively.

Do you take on properties you did not design or build?

Yes. Most care starts with an existing landscape. We walk it, note what it needs and pick up the care from there.

When should hydrangeas be pruned?

It depends on the variety: some bloom on old wood and are cut right after flowering, others bloom on new wood and are cut in late winter. This is exactly the judgement a degree in horticulture brings to routine care.

What happens to the care in winter?

It does not stop at the last mow. Fall cleanup, winter protection and, in Massachusetts, snow removal carry the same properties through to spring.
